About Me

Hello, I am a researcher in the field of English Literary Studies. My research focuses on how emotions were conceived of, defined, and represented in a wide range of early modern texts, including moral-philosophical treaties, prose romance, drama, and pamphlets. I am also interested in the political potentiality of theater, especially in the context of tragedy. My current project revolves around early modern passion, tragedy, human rights theater, and working-class drama. In addition to my research, I am a passionate educator. I promote students to develop independent learning and metacognitive practices through a creation of ePortfolios. I also foster group discussions that facilitate the practice of close reading in order to engage with literature.
